About the Awards

The Global Leadership Awards 2012 is all about achievers and accomplishments! The awards being the extension of Malaysia Business Leadership Awards or better known as MBLA (Malaysia’s most prestigious award), will not be just another event but rather targeting the crème de la crème of global leaders . It is a one-of-its-kind event that will highlight, recognize and reward astute Global Leaders who have not only steered their ships through various streams in turbulent times, applying the best of leadership modules and practices but have reached uncharted territories, resembling explorers of yore and established their supremacy on the shores of success. To make it easier to absorb these Leaders are Indeed Masters in their field of trade. This much anticipated event is organized by The Leaders International, a high profiled business magazine and managed by MY Events International, a leading event management organization. The dynamic combo of this duo will portray high levels of professionalism and excellence never before seen in Malaysia. Due to be held in April 2012 at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC), Malaysia, this ultra prestigious event will lend its own charisma and splendour, outshining the rest. Achievements in over 35 categories will be recognized and honoured with its unique award. The awardees will be selected by high profile leaders from various fields in Malaysia. The event will seek to honour Leaders for their exemplary contributions towards global post-recession economic development. They will be the Leaders of the glittering evening in an ode to their impeccable leadership qualities. Judging Criteria

The Global Leadership Awards 2012 will carry a highly special significance for its recipients. Upon request, this mega event has been extended beyond the shores of Malaysia. This is obvious as Malaysian companies and businesses increase trans-border trade with their counterparts globally.

Committed to the credo that ‘Every business is a global business’, the Chambers of Commerce of various nations have come together to adopt a common framework for recognizing leadership globally. Rather than being identified with the economic status of a country, jointly nations uphold the belief that leaders are those who have gone forward despite adversities, setting examples for others to follow. In the fast-paced times of the new millennium, their style and efforts have transformed commercial practices and changed business landscapes. The impact of their deeds reverberates in the global business network as it is these leaders who have changed the word doom to boom.

The organizer has created categories of awards for promising leaders who have been in the industry for less than 5 years. The objective is to provide space for Gen Next leaders and to bring to their awareness that leadership starts from Day One. The organizer is confident that the event is able to showcase how young leaders see their leadership skills being innovatively applied in the next challenging era.
The judging will be based on all the past achievements & performance in Year 2011.

Who should attend?

The Organizational Leadership Awards are only for the C level professionals i.e. CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CTOs, CSOs, Members and the Chairman of boards and other key organizational leaders like departmental and organizational presidents and vice presidents, managing directors, executive directors and directors with distinguished activity, exceptional leadership qualities and prominent achievements. There are a total 35 awards, in this category each of these awards is reserved for each business sector mentioned below. Nominations for this award will be requested from the organizations and individuals, however the judgment will be made on the basis of a public poll and the judges assessment as well as inputs from senior management of various industries.
